Lizards are cold blooded and belong to the family of reptiles generally the reptiles are recognized as those animals who walk while their belly is down towards the ground or that they walk while their belly touches the ground for example: crocodiles, chameleons, snakes, tuatara etc. lets see the facts I have got for you....
CHAMELEONS:

REVOLVING EYES

Armadillo lizard has a very unique way of saving itself from becoming food to any predator. this lizard most of the times hide in cracks and other small openings in ground or under the stones but if there are no cracks or no stones or any other hideout armadillo lizard bites its own tale and curl up poking its thorny skin outside, forming a shape of spiny ring, so that the predator can not touch or eat it. The skin of this lizard is hard and spiny and it makes a good use of it.
THORNY DEVIL

This lizard also belongs to the AUSTRALIA. it is also known as the Thorny Dragon or mountain devil or the Moloch and this is the sole specie of genus Moloch. Length of the fully grown thorny lizard is about 20 cm and the average life of this lizard is approximately 20 years. females are longer than males and there whole body is covered with spiny, thorny and rigid skin.
AMAZING FACTS:
This lizard has an amazing mechanism for drinking water, these lizards do not drink water from their mouth but from their whole body... YES its true these amazing little fellows have a unique mechanism so that they can fit into their dessert environment. If a thorny devil wishes to drink water it allows water to fall on its body,from dew drops or raining, whole body is covered with tiny grooves that lead to the mouth of this lizard by making the action like gulping water it sucks the water from the grooves into its mouth and then from there into its body quenching its thirst.
ANOTHER amazing thing about thorny lizards is there FALSE HEAD. This lizard has a thorny and spiny false head at the backside of its real head which is used in times of danger, it conceals its real head in the earth and poke out its false spiny head.
